Nedumkandam is a small township and a fertile land in the High Ranges of the Western Ghats. It was our long cherished desire to provide a modest accommodation for the destitute of the locality who earned their livelihood by begging and spending the night on the streets. This led to the starting of a new centre in Nedumkandam. In the beginning we found a small rented house and started a new centre on May 1st 2004. The special invention of divine providence was seen as the same house which we took on rent was handed over to us as a gift by the owner. Today there are about 100 persons being accommodated and given care in this Ashram.
